Smallpox Proves Fatal to Gargus Child.
J.P. Gargus, five-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Gargus of Route 4 Oneonta, died of smallpox at their home on Sunday, April 7th. Funeral services were held at Foster's Chapel Monday, with Rev. David Blalock conducting the services. the child is survived by it's parents; five brothers, Clyde, Finis, Melvin, Edwin, and Wilburn; three sisters, Mrs. Lois Tidwell, Ola Mae and Florence Gargus, all of Route 4, Oneonta. Robinette, of Oneonta, was in charge.
