"The Late Mrs. Alexander Wright." '"The funeral services of the late Mrs. Alexander Wright at 10:30 Friday morning, October 27th, at the home on the Mercer road, near Polk, and were in charge of Rev. J. J. Brown, assisted by a choir of friends and neighbors, the internment following in Mount Zion Wesleyan cemetery, Mercer county, near the girlhood home of the deceased.
The pall bearers were James Blair, Harry Giebner, William Shingledecker, Ansel Dille, J. N. and Neil Perrine.
Mrs. Wright whose maiden name was Mary L. Giebner was born February 8th, 1841 and died October 24, 1916. She was the daughter of August and Nancy (Carmichael) Giebner, she twice married, her first husband being Nicholas Bixler.
She leaves her husband, the venerable Alexander Wright, and a daughter by her first marriage, Mrs. Sarah Bixler Gregory, wife of C. J. Gregory, of Blairsville.
Mrs. Wright was a woman of strong Christian character and the large attendance of friends and neighbors at the funeral attests the esteem in which she and her family are held by the community in which she spent her life.
