LEONARD, JERALD A. (Jerry), 55, Portland, Maine - Mr. Leonard, 55, passed away suddenly Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at his home in Standish. He was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and is an Alumni of Nova High School Class of 1970 and Florida State University in 1975 with a B.S. degree in Accounting and Finance. Jerry was a member and officer of the Fort Lauderdale Jaycees. He was an officer in his family's bank, First State Bank of Fort Lauderdale and employed by Landmark Bank before moving his family to Portland In 1982. In Maine he owned, operated and later sold Leonard Disposal, prior to NumbrCrunchers, Inc., a bookkeeping and accounting service. He became active in Maine politics in 1996 running as a U.S. Senate candidate in the Maine Democratic Primary. He was Treasurer of the Windemere Homeowners Association and a member of the Maine Outdoor Adventure Club. Jerry loved the outdoors lifestyle of Maine and the warm beaches of Fort Lauderdale. He is survived by his mother; Mildred L. Leonard and sister, Mickie Leonard, both of Ft Lauderdale; his wife of 25 years, Maureen Leonard; son, Todd Boudreau; grandson, Tyler Boudreau; brother; LA Leonard of GA; niece, Shannon Leonard NAS Jacksonville, FL; nephews, Ray Hensler of Nashville, TN, William Norman, USN, Robert Norman, ECSO Pensacola and Shawn Leonard of Raleigh, NC. A Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 15, 2008 in the WATTS CHAPEL at FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH OF FT LAUDERDALE, 401 S.E 15th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301, with a family visitation immediately following the service.

Jerry's ashes were scattered. His Memorial is located at the foot of his mother's gravesite, Midred Lenora Leonard.
