Mr. Willie C. "Bill" Thornton, a native of Texas and resident of Madera for 68 years, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2002 at the age of 79. He was retired from the Bechtel Power Company, where he worked as a dam builder for 30 years.
He is survived by his brother Dan Thornton of Fresno, his sister Mary M. Atkinson of Bloomfield, NM and by his great niece Terry Hinton of Washington.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, December 9, 2002 at 1:00 PM at Arbor Vitae Cemetery in Madera.
