Birth: Oct. 25, 1654
New York, USA
Death: Apr. 25, 1725
Schenectady County
New York, USA

Jan and wife Anna are the ancestors of this prolific family from the Schenectady area. His stone house still stands today in Rotterdam Jct, and is on the National Register, now known as the Mabee Farm Historic Site, a museum of the Schenectady County Historical Society. He was born in New Amsterdam (NYCity) New Netherlands, at the corner of Broad and Marketveldt (Marketfield) streets; near where the NY Stock Exchange/Wall Street is today. The Maybee family Society believes he and his half brother Willem Tietsoort (blacksmith) came up the Hudson River to Albany, about 1676, and then to Schenectady by about 1680. They had 10 children.
