Gene "Jinks" Lee

BOSSIER CITY, LA- Graveside services for Jinks Lee, age 75, will be held Saturday, at 10:00 a.m. on May 3, 2008 at Rose Neath Cemetery. Officiating will be Dr. Graham Riggs of First Christian Church-Disciples Of Christ in Bossier City, LA. Visitation will be held Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Boone Funeral Home in Bossier City, LA.

Ms. Lee passed away May 1, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born May 10, 1932 in Magnolia, AR. After retirement, Jinks spent the majority of her time on her greatest passion, genealogy. Her research allowed her to travel all over the world, and meet many wonderful friends and extended family.

Ms. Lee was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton C. Pate, Sr. and Margaret; one brother, Billy Pate, Sr.; and one sister, Sally Lowrey.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Thom Coon; 3 granddaughters: Dawn Coon, Lauren Coon, and Tricia Cooney; and 7 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Clifton Pate Jr. and Robert Pate; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends.

The family would like to especially thank Dr. Patrick Connor and the staff at The Grace Home for all the loving care they provided throughout her illness.
