"Canfield – Mrs. Jane K. Dove, 67, of 6 Neff Drive, died of a heart attack Thursday afternoon in Southside Medical Center after being stricken at her home on Wednesday. Mrs. Dove was born Dec. 17, 1923, in Youngstown, a daughter of Charles H. and Bessie Mercer Kelly. She was a member of the Youngstown State University Penguin Club and the YSU Tailgaters Club. She also was a member of the Canfield American Legion Post 177 Auxiliary and was its Americanism chairman. She leaves her husband, Robert L., a two-time All-American at Notre Dame and a former assistant college football coach, whom she married Sept. 6, 1943; two sons, Robert L. Jr., of Spring, Texas, and G. Timothy of Canfield; two daughters, Miss Nancy of Canfield and Mrs. Bonnie Dewberry of Lake Milton; a brother, Charles H. Kelly Jr. of Youngstown; and eight grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Lane Funeral Home, Canfield, where friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. The family requests that material tributes take the form of contributions to the Muscular Dystrophy Association."
