Art Humberson, the oldest of six, was a man of personal integrity, moral stature, a creative gift, a man with music in his spirit and talent in his hands. Socially, he was withdrawn, and society today would suggest he was a loner. His life, though, was productive, inventive, and resourceful.
There are two or three of us who remember him still. He left no children or grandchildren. Those in Huntsville who knew him are probably all gone by now. His family, parents, brothers and sisters, are deceased.
Two nieces and a nephew remain, and a small handful of great-nieces and nephews, with memories of a kind man who stood tall, in statue and in character.
