John, son of John Frost and Phebe Tillear was born 27 June 1739 and died 27 Mar 1831 at Carmel Putnam Co. NY, married Huldah Munson of Redding CT born 4 Aug 1742 died 18 Oct 1802. They are both buried in the old Gilead Cemetery at Carmel NY. John was a private in the Revolutionary War serving under Co. Henry Luddington. He enlisted in the French and Indian War and at Montreal serving under General Wolfe and was present at the taking of Quebec. He settled in Carmel Putnam Co. NY where his occupation is listed as a tanner, currier, and farmer.
