TIMOTHY A. SCHENKE, 18, of SPRING LAKE HEIGHTS, died Saturday, April 26. Born in Belleville, Tim lived in Middlesex before moving to Spring Lake Heights nine years ago. He was a graduate of Spring Lake Heights Elementary School, where he played baseball and was the captain of the soccer and basketball teams. He was currently a senior at Manasquan High School, where he was a member of the National Honor Society and the varsity soccer team. During the summer, he worked for Hoffman's Ice Cream, Spring Lake Heights. He was an avid soccer player and played for the Monmouth Coast Club and Wall Soccer Club. Tim was also very fond of his dogs, Blondi, Ory, and Gordon. He was a loving son, brother and grandson and will be missed by all who knew him.
Surviving are his parents, Andrew and Lisa Parrillo Schenke; his brothers, Peter and David, at home; his paternal grandmother, Virginia Schenke of Belleville; his maternal grandparents, Frank and Angela Parrillo of Belleville; his aunts and uncles, Jeffrey and Laura Schenke, and Denise and Tim Broderick; and his cousins, Ian and Lindsay.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at St. Rose Catholic Church, Belmar. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Timothy Schenke Light of Hope Award, c/o Big Blue Boosters, P.O. Box 444, Manasquan, NJ 08736. Neary-Quinn Funeral Home, Manasquan, is in charge of arrangements.
