John Pruitt Hensley was born Wednesday, September 2, 1885 in Lawrence County, Alabama, to Samuel Elijah "Sam" Hensley and Mary Sue Livingston Hensley.
He married Liddie Pearl McCormick, a daughter of William Anderson McCormick and Eliza Ellen Harlow McCormick.
Pruitt Hensley Rites Wednesday
Funeral services were held on Wednesday for Pruitt Hensley, 69, who passed away at his Hartselle Route 2 residence, Tuesday.
Funeral rites were conducted at Johnson Chapel, Rev. Addie Wallace and Rev. Price Sons officiating. Interment followed in the adjoining cemetery, Peck directing.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Liddie Hensley, Hartselle 2, three daughters, Mrs. Dee Ledlow, Mrs. Noah Jenkins, Mrs. Eulas Hill; two sons, Junior Hensley and Sam Hensley.
