GLADYS WHORLOW DIES IN ACCIDENT

Gladys Lucille Whorlow of Wayne, Nebraska, a former resident of Washington county, died last Saturday when the automobile in which she was riding was wrecked by a train. Funeral services were held in Wayne Monday morning and at the Methodist church in Kennard on Monday afternoon. Burial was made in the Kennard cemetery.

Miss Whorlow, the daughter of Mrs. Della Whorlow of Wayne, was born at Kennard on April 16, 1917, and thus was only 24 years, 9 months and 8 days old at the time of her death. She was graduated from the College High School at Wayne in 1934, and since 1939 had been employed at the Natural Gas Office in Wayne.

She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Della Whorlow, and four sisters, Mary Jensen and Roberta Jensen of Blair, Blanche Carlbert of Arlington, and Amy Schuler of Laurel; and five brothers, Merl of Fort Benton, Montana; Paul of Norfolk; Russell of San Jose, California; Howard of Meridan, Connecticut; and Kenneth of Wayne.
