MRS. L. E. WARD PASSES

Mrs. L. E. Ward, a resident of Washington county for 43 years and of Kennard for 35 years, died early Monday morning at her home in Kennard. She had been an invalid for several years, but had been confined to her bed only one week before her death.

Mrs. Ward was a member of the Methodist church and of the Ladies Aid society of that church. She was also a charter member of the local chapter of the Royal Neighbors.

Deceased was born in Warwickshire, England, Nov. 20, 1862. She was married to Lewis E. Ward on August 24, 1881, and to this union six children were born, four sons and two daughters, all of whom are living, and with the husband, mourn the loss of a loving wife and mother.

In her home community Mrs. Ward was held in the highest esteem and her death will mean the loss of a person whose place will be indeed hard to fill.

The children are C. M. Ward of Omaha, C H. and H. E. Ward and Mrs. Nina Rosenbaum of Kennard, Leland Ward of Omaha, and Mrs. Mildred Timblin of Davey, Neb.

She also leaves three brothers: John Renshaw, Batavia, Michigan; Wm. Renshaw, Bronson, Michigan, and Austin Renshaw of Blair.

The funeral services were held Wednesday, June 10 at 2 p.m. from the M. E. church in Kennard with Rev. E. P. Booher officiating, and interment was made in the Kennard Cemetery.
