Wymore - Bernadin L. Starlin, 74, Wymore, died Thursday, April 13, 2000 at Brayn LGH Medical Center East, Lincoln. She was born Aug. 10, 1925, at Beatrice, where she spent most of her childhood. She married John Starlin on Aug. 10, 1956, at Sidney, Iowa, and the lived in Wymore most of their married life. She helped elderly persons in their homes, and was a member of the Wymore Church of Christ and Anderson American Legion Auxiliary Unit 25. She enjoyed embroidery work and crafts, attended car races, and the University of Nebraska football.
Survivors: husband, John; daughters, Sharon Hinder of Lincoln, Karen Beck and husband Bill of Liberal, Kan., Barbie Warford and husband Rodger, and Vickie Detter and husband Randy, all of Beatrice; sons, Ed Starlin of Lincoln, Gary and wife Denise of Beatrice, Richard Allen and wife Jean of Norfolk; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; sisters; Margene McColery of Beatrice; Peggy Ross and husband John of Jerome, Idaho, Vera Marble of Springfield, Ore.; bothers; Harry Reed and wife Barbara of Jerome, Idaho; Jim Reed and wife Betty of Cortez, Colo.; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Alexander and Fay ( Vandergrift) Reed; sisters; LaVella Ferdig, Shirley Larsen; brothers; William "Bud" Reed, Don Reed; granddaughters; Brooke Starlin, Penny Peck; son-in-law Melvin Hindera.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday April 17, Wymore Church of Christ, Highway 77 and M Streets, Jon Palmquist officiating. Burial: Blue Springs Cemetery. Visitation: after 12:15 p.m. Sunday until 12:15 p.m. Monday, Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home, Wymore, and at the church one hour preceding the service.
