Basil E. Alderson 92; of Sellersburg Indiana Clark County

Funeral services for Basil E. Alderson, 92, of Sellersburg, Indiana will be held at noon Monday, Aug. 13,2007 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg, with burial to follow in Sellersburg Cemetery. He died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2007, at Hampton Oakes Nursing Home in Scottsburg.

He was born in Alderson, W.Va., and has lived in Sellersburg for the last 52 years. He was a World War II veteran, a retired Teamster truck driver and a member of Sellersburg United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Helen Juanita Scott Alderson; a son, Michael Alderson; and two grandchildren, Mikey and Amanda Alderson.

Visitation at the funeral home will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12 2007.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of memorial contributions to Hospice and Palliative Care of Southern Indiana or the Juvenile Diabetes or Juvenile Cancer Research.
