Moved to east TN from Halifax Co. VA in the late 1790s or early 1800s with several of his children. One son was Curd Cox, Sr. who served in the Revolutionary War and is buried in a private plot in Knox County, TN. Henry was married first to Elizabeth Richardson. His second wife was Ann Madison. His seventh child was Ambrose, also buried here.
