Mrs. Maude Nelson Is Buried Monday
Omahan, Sister of County Superintendent Fairchild, Dead

Mrs. Maude Fairchild Nelson, 54, of Omaha, sister of County Superintendent Ralph E. Fairchild of Blair, died Saturday at Methodist Hospital in Omaha. She had been ill with heart trouble four weeks.

As Maude Fairchild, Mrs. Nelson was born at Kennard September 17, 1885, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Fairchild. She was married to Charles Nelson, son of August Nelson of Kennard in 1904. For two years they were at Kennard, and then spent two years at Benson before moving to Long Pine. Until 15 years ago the Nelsons lived at Long Pine, where Mr. Nelson was in the banking business.

Surviving Mrs. Nelson are two daughters, Marjorie Nelson and Mrs. Edwin Romberg, Omaha; her mother, Mrs. George W. Fairchild, Omaha; four sisters, Mrs. L. H. Crapenhoft and Mrs. M. E. Isaacson of Omaha, Dr. Nora M. Fairchild of Los Angeles and Mrs. William L. Johnson of Evanston, Illinois; four brothers, Homer of Osmond, Ralph, of Blair, Edgar of Kennard and Aubrey of Seattle, Washington. There are three grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at First Methodist Church in Omaha, the Rev. A. A. Brooks, pastor, officiating, assisted by Dr. Lyle of the Hastings Methodist Church, who was the Nelson's pastor at Long Pine. Burial was in Kennard Cemetery.

Mrs. Maude Fairchild Nelson, 54, widow of Charles Nelson, former banker at Long Pine, Neb., died Saturday at a local hospital. Before coming to Omaha 15 years ago, she had served as matron of Blanche Chapter No. 202, O.E.S. at Long Pine. She had lived at 4813 Douglas Street.

M. of Cincinnati, O; three grandchildren.
Funeral Monday, 2 p.m., First Methodist church, Rev. A. A. Brooks officiating. Burial, Kennard Cemetery. Crosby-Carlson-Meyer arrangements.
