Margretha Naeve Died Last Saturday

Death came to a long-time resident of the Kennard vicinity last Saturday. Mrs. (should be Miss) Margretha Naeve, 83, died at the Dodge County Hospital in Fremont.

She was born August 22, 1881, at Ogden, Iowa, and was the last member of her family to die. She never married. She came to the Kennard area many years ago and had lived there continuously since.

She kept house for her brother, Hans Naeve, who farmed near Kennard. Later, she kept house for Frank Naeve after Mrs. Naeve died and some time ago moved to Kennard to make her home.

She is survived by three cousins in this area. They are Mrs. Earl Osburn, of Kennard, Mrs. Sam Holstein and Herman Kuhr, both of Blair.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Kennard Methodist Church, the Rev. Samuel J. Hemphill conducting the service. Burial was made in the Kennard Cemetery under the direction of the Bendorf Funeral Home of Blair.

Pallbearers were George Matzen, Neil Andreasen, Sam Wright, Kenneth Hunter, Roy Rosenbaum and Glen Rosenbaum.
