R. H. CROW, 73, HASKELL DIES
Prominent Landowner Came to Area 30 Years Ago
HASKELL, Oct. 8.--R. H. Crow, 73, prominent Haskell resident for 30 years, died at his home this afternoon following a stroke of paralysis several days ago.
Funeral service will be held from the First Methodist church Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock with the pastor, the Rev. R. N. Huckabee, officiating. Burial will be in Willow cemetery.
A native Texan, born January 25, 1863 in Lockhart, Mr. Crow came with his family to Haskell from Bell county in 1906 while this section was rapidly developing into a farming country.
He gradually accumulated large land holdings here, and had purchased several tracts of Plains land in recent years.
Surviving are his wife, one son, M. D. Crow of Haskell; three daughters, Mrs. Essie Davis, Weinert, Mrs. Jewell Gibson of Mart, and Mrs. Sudie Shriver of Haskell; one sister, four half-brothers and a half-sister. Funeral arrangements will be in charge of Jones Cox and company.
