Lewis Baker, 91 of 1314 Church Road, Ford City, died at 6:45 a.m. Sunday (March 10, 1963) at his home.
Mr. Baker was born March 4, 1872 in Kittanning Township, a son of Peter and Eliza (King) Baker. He was a retired farmer and was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Rockville.
Surviving are his widow, Rebecca (Nolder) Baker; four daughters, Mrs. Robert (Florence) Leard, Mrs. Floy (Vera) Spang both of Ford City, Mrs. Blair (Essie) Heckman of North Apollog, Mrs. Louis (Mary) Nelson of New Castle; a brother, John Baker of Vandergrift; two sisters, Mrs. R. Bishop of Warren, Ohio, Mrs. Bell Dempsey of Zelienople; 16 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Two son's Clarence and Harry preceded their father in death.
Friends are being received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Dornan Funeral Home, Ford City, where service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Rev. Richard Ebel, pastor of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, will officiate.
Interment will take place in St. Matthew's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Rockville.
