Janice was born to James "Clyde" Aten and Gwendolyn Ruth Johnson
She had two older brothers, David and Daniel and younger sister Jeneane and younger brother Duane
Duane passed in May 2015 in California.
Janice was a nurse by profession and world traveler spending much time in Germany. She practiced in
many hospitals and care facilities in the midwest then ended in California. There her main calling was traveling and care nurse.

Janice Kay (Aten) Feeley passed away on December 20, 2023. She was the 3rd child born to J. Clyde and Gwendolyn Aten in Fremont, Nebraska on May 16, 1946. She was one of five children. She is survived by brothers David Lee Aten - White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, brother Daniel Clyde Aten, (Harriet) West Des Moines, Iowa and sister Jeneane Carol (Aten) Wise, Swartz Creek, Michigan. Janice was preceded in death by her parents and her brother. Duane Eugene Aten (1949-2015). She is also survived by Gabe Moore a close and dear friend of 30 years who assisted with her care.

Janice grew up in Blair, Nebraska and graduated from Blair High School in 1964. She received her training as a nurse at Immanuel Hospital School of Nursing in Omaha, Nebraska graduating in 1967. During her career as a nurse Janice worked in Omaha, Nebraska, San Francisco, California, Nuremberg, Germany at the U.S. Army hospital and retired from her work as a public health nurse in Fremont, California.
At the time of her death Janice was being cared for at Friendship Village, Fremont, California. Many thanks to the staff who cared for her and to Gabe Moore.
