Professional Football Player. He was selected in the second round of the 1987 National Football League draft as the 48th overall player by the Washington Redskins. A graduate of the University of Notre Dame, he won All-American honors as a member of the Fighting Irish. He played two seasons as a defensive tackle with the Redskins before injuries cut short his career. Following his NFL career he served briefly as an assistant coach with Texas Tech University before beginning a career in real estate and investments. He died from heart failure at the age of 43.
