Jesse Lee was the son of Thomas Jefferson and Minnie Estell (Winborne) Rushing.

He was first married to Florence Mae O'Bryant-Rushing.

Jesse & Florence were the parents of:
Florence Estelle, Willa Mae, and Vera Lee.

After Florence died in 1924, Jesse married his second wife Velma Englebert Rushing.

They had 6 children. Ida Mae(Pam), Jesse, James, Gene, Eloise and a son (Marshall?) that died at the age of about 16 years old.
