Van Buren "Peanut" was the son of Van Buren Everest Sr and Lillian (Sanderson) Everest.

He married Sylvia B. (Blow) on June 12th 1959.

He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Jed Everest and a sister Dorothy Everest.
