Charles Castles Dies Suddenly Monday Evening
Mr. Charles Columbus Castles, a resident of Houston for twenty years, died suddenly Monday evening in the Houston Hospital where he had gone to see his wife, who has been a patient there for several weeks.
Mr. Castles had been in ill health for more than a year, and while his condition was known to be serious, his death, coming so suddenly, was a shock to his friends and relatives.
Mr. Castles made his home in Pontotoc before coming to Houston. He has owned and operated a shoe shop here for several years. He was a member of the Baptist Church, the pastor, Rev. W C Stewart officiating at the funeral which was conducted at Friendship cemetery Tuesday afternoon at 12:30 o'clock. Besides his wife, who was formerly Miss Dorothy Bryant, he is survived by one daughter, Omega; one sister, Mrs. Maggie Nelson; and a nephew, Schultz Nelson.
