__Helen N. Churchill Prasil, 81, of 702 24th St. NW, died Sunday in Mercy Medical Center after a sudden illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Brosh Chapel, where friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today. Burial: Linwood Cemetery.
__Survivors include a son, Roger and his wife, Evelyn of Cedar Rapids; a granddaughter, Lorrie Prasil -Holcomb, and a grandson, Wade Prasil .
__She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold "Buddy" Churchill.
__Born Jan. 17, 1911, in Cedar Rapids, she was the daughter of Charles and Nora Purnell Churchill. She married Harold J. Prasil on July 14, 1941, in Kahoka, Mo. He died in 1984. Helen graduated from Grant Senior High School and Cedar Rapids Business College. She was a retired deputy bailiff of Municipal Court, a life member of the Iowa Association of Chiefs of Police and Peace Officers and a member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police. She also was a member of WFLA Lodge 262, IPERS and the Czech school board. She was a past member, editor and treasurer of the Five Seasons Bottle Club. Helen enjoyed traveling.
