CARTHAGE - Services for Betty Ruth McClard, 76, of Beckville, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 2008, at Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Dock Lazarine and the Rev. Dale Walker officiating. Interment will be in Mason Cemetery of Arp. Mrs. McClard died April 14, 2008, in Nacogdoches.
Born May 15, 1931, in Cross Plains, she enjoyed fishing, horseback riding and crocheting and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Survivors include her sons, Sammy Wayne Watson and Johnny R. Watson; daughters, Connie Thomason, Wanda Hightower and Sanoma Howell; brother, Albert Wayne Steddum; and sister, Doris A. McCoy.
