James S. Hathorne, 36, died Nov. 11 at Hot Springs, South Dakt., from injuries received in a car accident there on Oct. 31. He was the third member of his family to die in car accident tragedies in the past two years. His first wife and a child were killed in a car wreck in Texas about two years ago while enroute home to Kingston from California.

Mr. Hathorne was born in 1913 at Kingston, the son of C. C. Hathorne and Margaret Rogers-Hathorine. His father preceded him in death.

Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Ed Ansty of Kingston; his wife, Mrs. J. S. Hathorne of Wicks, Ark.; four sons, Johnnie Lee, Billy, Bobby and Harold, all of the home; a daughter, Ruth, of the home; four brothers, Omer Hathorne of Springdale, Willie and Coleman, both of Kingston, and Jeff, of Springer, New Mexico; four sisters, Mrs. Anna Stout and Mrs. Lizzie McClung, both of Plunketville, Okla., Mrs. B. F. Perry, Rocky, Okla., and Mrs. Mack Cain of Kingston.

The body was returned here for services and burial. Graveside services were conducted by Rev. Lester Cline of Marble at 2 p.m. Nov. 15. Burial was in Upper Campground Cemetery with Brashears Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Jess Stamps, Albert Parker, Jewel Smith, Noble Whiteley, Reuben Smelley and Ernest Combs.
