Jerry J. James passed away April 16, 2008 at Olathe Medical Center. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm, Friday, April 18th, at McGilley & Frye Funeral Home, 105 E. Loula, Olathe, where a Prayer Service will be held at 7pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am, Saturday, April 19th, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Pittsburg, with burial following in Garden of Memories Cemetery. He is survived by his wife Barbara Saia-James of the home; brother John James and wife Alice of Mindenmines, MO; brothers and sisters-in-law Tom and Brenda Barbieri of Brandon, FL, Ron and Kathy Perkins of Eudora, KS and Tom and Sue Saia of Arkansas City, KS; mother-in-law Josephine E. Saia of DeSoto, KS and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul E. James and Virginia Stroud-James, and brother, Paul E. James, Jr. Jerry graduated from Pittsburg State University with a degree in Business Administration. He began his career with Lee Company in Shawnee Mission as an inventory analyst and later holding positions in Merchandising and Purchasing. After 24 years with Lee Co, he completed his career as Purchasing Administrator for Johnson County. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Lenexa, KS. Jerry was an avid bass fisherman.
