OBITUARY
The Rochester Sentinel

Thursday, January 21, 1954

Mrs. Meldora CHURCHILL, 80 died at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mr. Ralph PRATT, four miles southwest of Akron. She had been seriously ill for six weeks. Mrs. Churchill had been a resident of Fulton and Miami counties her entire life.

She was born Oct 1, 1873, in Miami County to John and Elizabeth (HEINELECK) FRIEND. In 1889, she was married to Abner CHURCHILL who died in 1934. Mrs. Churchill was a member of the Omega Church and the Omega club.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Beulah PRATT, of near Akron; Mrs. Evelyn NEITZEL, Detroit; two sons, Ruel CHURCHILL, Ann Arbor, Mich.: Orville CHURCHILL, Garden City, Mich., two sisters, Mrs. Lulu MILLS and Mrs. Eva KANNADA, both of Peru; thirteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. One son preceded her in death.

Final rites will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Omega Church. Rev. Ed YATES and Rev. Ben POWELL will officiate. Burial will be in Akron I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call at the Sheetz funeral home, Akron, until noon Saturday at which time the body will be taken to the church.
