Ventura County Star Free Press, Wednesday, November, 18, 1970: "Charles W. Baker. Graveside services for Charles W. Baker, 92, of 250 March St., Santa Paula, will be in Chico. Friends may call tomorrow at the Joseph P. Reardon Funeral Chapel, Ventura. Mr. Baker died Monday in a local convalescent hospital after a long illness.
A retired oil worker for Shell Oil Co., he had lived in Ventura County since 1922. He was born June 28, 1879, in Cleveland, Ohio.
Surviving are grandsons, Richard L. Pendergast of Vista, Maurice L. Pendergast of Campbell, Calif.; a step-daughter, Mrs. William Bess of Ojai, and step-son, Vernon J. Pendergast of Prudence, Mo.

Sacred selections, "Saved By Grace" and "Give To The Winds Thy Fears" were rendered by organist and soloist Hertha McFarland. Pallbearers were Donald Dingler, Richard Pendergast, and Maurice Pendergast.
Interment was at the Christian Service Society Cemetery.
