Jacob served in the Civil War with his brother Milton.Jacob was the son of Daniel and Mary Ann (Stahl) Koch, and was born in 1842. In 1850, he lived with his parents in Saucon, Northampton, PA. Jacob is age 4. He entered the Civil War, age 18, ranked as a Private, from Lower Saucon Valley, who's occupation was farmhand. He had a brother Milton who served in 153rd Co. C.
