Rites Billed For Lawyer
Missouri Native Dies in Hospital
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at McGinnis and Wilhelm Mortuary for Everett I. Adcock, Portland attorney for 35 years, who died early Tuesday in St. Vincent's Hospital.
He was born in Barnett, Mo., Feb. 15, 1895. He came to Oregon in the early 1920's. He was a graduate of Northwestern College of Law, and also studied at Northwestern University, Evanston, Ill., before moving to Oregon. He was a veteran of World War I combat duty in Germany.
Mr. Adcock was affiliated with numerous Masonic groups, and was a member of the advisory council of the International Supreme Council of the Order of DeMolay; deputy grand high priest of Portland Chapter No. 3, Royal Arch Masons; Portland Post No. 1, American Legion; the Oregon Bar and Multnomah Bar Assn., the Order of the Whit Shrine of Jerusalem; Multnomah Council NO. 11, Royal and Select Masters; a life member of Oregon Commandery No. 1, Knights Templar; Sellwood Masonic Lodge and Sellwood Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star.
Widow, Sons Survive
He is survived by his widow, the former Lillian C. Fredricks, whom he married in 1937; two sons, Stewart Fredricks, Seattle, and E. P. Fredricks, Portland; two grandsons; three brothers, J. G. Adcock, Oregon City; W. L. Adcock, Springfield, Mo., and Clarence C., Hot Springs, Ark.; and a sister, Mrs. Nimmie B. Sharpe, Beaumont, Calif.
The Rev. Marvis Kayser, Westmoreland Presbyterian Church, will officiate at the funeral. Sellwood Masonic Lodge will assist.
Interment will be in Willamette National Cemetery.
