Jennie was the daughter of James Parley & Martha Calkins Bloss. She married (Frances) Henry Barnacassel, son of Francis & Anna Keller Barneycastle. The family used various forms of this name, including Cassel & Barneycassel. They married in Nebraska and first lived in Lincoln, Franklin, NE. They moved to Colorado in 1887 where James Francis died. Henry got a land patent for Lincoln, Co in 1891. They were living in El Paso, CO in 1900. According to their obituaries, the family moved back to Finchville Nebraska in 1915. Jennie was an accomplished musician and she loved to sing. She was living with son Leon, or Lee, at the time she became ill, in that Finchville home. They moved to East Table when she was sick, presumably for medical treatment. She died there.

Her grave is unmarked, but it is documented that she was buried next to Henry. Leon bought the plot of 5 graves. Children: James Francis, Leon Gordon, Blanche Marion, Edna Martha.
