SLIGO — Byron F. McCall of Parker. RD 1 died suddenly at 5 p.m. Sunday in the Butler County Memorial Hospital. The Hawk Funeral Home in Sligo is in charge of funeral arrangements. A complete obiluary will be published in Tuesday's Derrick. ~Derrick, June 1, 1970

Byron Floyd McCall, 73, of Parker RD 1, died suddenly Sunday in Butler County Memorial Hospital. He was born on March 23, 1897, in Perry Township, Clarion County, the son of John Lyman and Ada Jane Fair McCall. On April 22, 1920, he married the former Mary K. Heeter, and she survives. Mr. McCall was a member of West Freedom United Methodist Church, IOOF West Freedom Lodge 659 and Parker City Masonic Lodge 521. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Leo (Betty) Dietz, of Greensburg, Mrs. Carl (Theda) McMahon, of Saegertown, and Mrs. Paul (Norma) Kriebel and Mrs. Ronald (Judy) Botz, both of Parker; four sons, Dick McCall, of Petrolia, Dean McCall, of Clarion RD, Jerry McCall, of Shippenville RD, and Joe McCall, of Parker; 23 grandchildren and a great-grandchild; and two sisters, Mrs. Rachel Dean, of Conneautville, and Mrs. Homer (Belle) Best, of Fullerton, California. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today a t Hawk Funeral Home, Sligo. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Rev. Frank Tulak, pastor of West Freedom United Methodist Church, will officiate, assisted by Rev. Merle Wonderling. Odd Fellows service will be held at 7:30 p.m. tonight in the funeral home. Masonic service will follow at 8 p.m. Interment will be in Perryville Cemetery.
