My great-grandfather and his wife, Hulda, lived in the Browntown area of Front Royal, Virginia. The area is so beautiful and picturesque. (If you've ever been to the entrance of the Skyline Drive in Front Royal, you will know what I mean, as Browntown borders the entrance area.)
Their home was abandoned after their deaths, and has since fallen down. The property is no longer in the family but we are grateful that the family that now owns the property has preserved the burial ground there.
When I look at William's picture, his smiling face and his arms, full of little ones, I realize that, though the physical things are gone, his love has carried on.
