ALFRED CONRAD. 48. Shipping 2, the oldest son of Charles Conrad, died January 9 in Borgess hospital. Allie's father was one of the first men at KVP and beginning in 1913 Allie grew up with the young plant from office boy and water boy to truck driver. He left in 1921. When he returned March 1, 1922, he was connected with the Shipping Department, and later became loading foreman at Shipping 2. His wife Helen survived him and is still a member of the bond Finishing Room. The Parchment News January 6, 1949 page 1
