Mr. Rector died Friday, Jan. 7, 2005, at Village Villa in Nortonville.
He was born April 4, 1928, in Excelsior Springs, Mo., the son of Charles Austin and Virginia Maude Owenings Rector. He lived in the Kansas City area most of his life. He moved to Nortonville two years ago.
Mr. Rector served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a supervisor for Certain-Teed Corp.
Survivors include three sons, Bill Rector, Castle Rock, Colo., Mike Rector, Independence, Mo., and Robert O'Neal, Odessa, Mo.; and a daughter, Stephanie Newell, Baldwin.
