Brookston - Mrs. Lena Chitty, 71, of Brookston, died at 4:45 a.m. Monday in Home hospital, Lafayette, where she had been a patient several hours.

Born in White county, she was married to Ralph A. Chitty in 1917 and spent most of her life in and around Chalmers. She was a member of Brookston Federated church.

Surviving with the husband are two sons, Richard A. Chitty of Brookston and Ralph W. Chitty of Chalmers.
