Peggy R. Sweet, 64, 2410 Sunset Drive, Baxter Springs, Kan., died at 3:08 p.m. Wednesday, July 4, 1984, at St. John's Regional Medical Center, Joplin, after an illness.
Mrs. Sweet was born June 26, 1920, in Stonington, Conn. She was a lifetime resident of the Baxter Springs-Galena area.
She married Jim Sweet, Dec. 25, 1946, at Columbus. He survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Susie Derryberry, Baxter Springs; a brother, Sam Swaim, Tulsa, Okla.; four sisters, Dolly Turner, Baxter Springs, Pat Tener, Galena, Betty Scott, Lowell, and Billie Gavin, Tulsa; and three grandchildren.
Arrangements were conducted by Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena.
Services were held Saturday at Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena with the Rev. Burton Greenwood officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery, Galena.
Nephews served as pallbearers.
