He was born the second son of Joseph Henry Warren and his second wife Margaret (Maggie or Mollie) Miller. His father died in a railroad accident in 1906. In 1917 he worked for the Vandalia Railroad from Indianapolis to St. Louis. He was the sole support of his mother; short and stout with blue eyes and light hair. On May 31, 1922, he married Esther J. Brown Hadley and they lived at 627 N. Eighth Street in Terre Haute, Indiana, in 1930. In 1942 he still lived at the same residence and worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad at Union Station at 9th & Spruce in Terre Haute. I don't know of any children born of the marriage.
