Death of Mrs. Aaron Landes
Mrs. Aaron Landes died at her home, corner of Sixteenth and Alabama streets, Friday morning at 7:30 o'clock from a stroke of paralysis received April 11. Her illness was short of duration and her death was painless and peaceful.
She was born in Lehigh county, Pa., Aug. 24, 1812, and married Mr. Landes in 1836. They came to this city in 1860 and have resided here since. A husband and the following children survive: Mrs. George Ruch, of Selina, Kan., Mrs. August Caser, of Jefferson: Mesdames William Applebach and Solomon Litzenberger, and Mr. C. W. Landes, of this city. There are thirty-two grand children and thirty-one great grand children who have descended from this union.
The funeral occurred from the German Reformed church Sunday at 2p.m. Rev. E. W. Henschen delivered the funeral oration.
