Services for Myrtle A. Heartsill, 79, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2002, at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Robert Gorrell and the Rev. Dan Patman officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Born May 3, 1923, in Pontotoc, Okla., to Hicks William and Ollie Mutchusson Stamps, she died June 22, 2002, in Ardmore.
Married to Dan Heartsill on Jan. 1, 1942, in Ardmore, she worked at the motor license agency with her husband for 16 years before she retired in 1982. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; a son, Dan Heartsill and his wife, Norma, of Dallas; two daughters, Deborah Walker and husband, Kenneth, and Sonia Dewberry, all of Ardmore; six grandchildren, Chris Heartsill, Alan Heartsill, Erik Walker, Melissa Sherfield, Eric Chandler and Tasha Dewberry; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and an infant brother and sister.
Bearers will be Dr. Rick Woodbridge, Kenneth Frakes, Cory Sherfield, Alan Heartsill, Chris Heartsill and Don Williams. Honorary bearers are Ernest Martin, local American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars members and Ardmore High School graduating class of 1941.
Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home will direct services.
