Elmer was the son of Joseph and Rose (Chrastil) Vosta born at Hallam, NE. He served with the U.S. Army Rangers and was a WWII veteran, earning two Purple Hearts, while serving in the Pacific Campaign.

Retired after 37 years as an employee with Cushman, Inc. Lifetime member of Crete V.F.W. Post #4959. Member, Moose Lodge #175; Eagles Lodge #147 (past-president); and D.A. V. Post #7.

Survivors: wife, Lorraine; son, spouse, Gary (Sandra) Vosta; daughter, Diane Girard; grandchildren; great-grand children; nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded in death by parents; brothers; and sisters.

Graveside Services: 3 p.m. Tuesday (4/01/08); Lincoln Memorial Park. Family and friend will meet at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 So. 14th St., Lincoln prior to services. Military Honors by Crete V.F.W. Post #4959.
