Born on Dec. 15, 1925, Dr. Crispin E. Sanchez, 82, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2008, in San Antonio, Texas, after a short illness. Dr. Sanchez worked for LISD as a teacher and as a vice principal. In 1969, he went to Northwestern University to further his education and received his Ph.D. In 1970, he became dean at then-Laredo Junior College until 1993 when he retired.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro R. and Guadalupe Sanchez.
Mr. Sanchez is survived by his wife, Dora A. Sanchez, and his children, Sandra Johnson, Pedro R. (Lydia) Sanchez, Irene S. (Bradford) Galo, Hugo G. (Mary) Sanchez and Laura J. Sanchez. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives.
Interment will be in the family plot at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
The family request donations to be made to Texas Community Bank, Account No. 1011016500, under Dr. Crispin Sanchez for Texas School for the Blind.
