| Birth: | Aug. 25, 1881 Lead Lawrence County South Dakota, USA | | Death: | Jun. 20, 1953 Lead Lawrence County South Dakota, USA |  Madison Ballantyne was one of sixty cowboys in Captain Seth Bullock's Cowboy Brigade who took their horses from to Washington DC in March of 1905 to ride in the inaugural parade to honor President Teddy Roosevelt. Most of these cowboys came from the South Dakota - NE Wyoming area.
There were three daughters: Phyllis Jane who was born and died in 1922, Patricia Jean b. 30 Mar 1923 and Martha Alice b. 12 Jan 1927.
Madison worked part time for the FBI until the early 1930's. He attended George Washington University in Washington D.C. but left just a few credits short of graduation.
