Son of James Harvey and Agnes (Bradley) Trisler. He and brother, Henry Logan Trisler, served in Co. I 33rd Regiment Indiana Infantry, Civil War. Lafayette contracted typhoid fever and died at Franklin, Tennessee. His body was brought home and buried here near his sister, Mary Trisler. No dates on his tombstone; apparently a military marker. His father, later, obtained a pension based on Lafayette's service. [Note: In June 2000, I could not find tombstone as many were illegible. Information taken from reading done in 1940's or 1950's.] [Exact birth and death date and location provided by Donna Kuhlman on 14 Nov. 2012]
