Mrs. Bowen died Monday, April 26, in a local nursing home.
She was born July 31, 1918, in Holland to William Aaron and Mattie Joan Moore. She graduated from Southwest Texas Teachers College with a master's in education and counseling. She married P.H. Harold Bowen in 1939 and he preceded her in death. They lived in Wimberley. She was a lifelong Baptist and served as a Sunday school teacher at First Baptist Church in Wimberley for 45 years. She moved to Cameron in 1997.
Survivors include a son, William Bowen of Conroe; a sister, Mary Lynn Kreuz of Bogart, Ga.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund, 502 W. Main, Cameron, 76520.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
