Lizzie was born in Hopewll Twp., old Hunterdon (now Mercer) Co., NJ, the daughter of Stephen and Permelia V. (Blackwell) Blackwell. She married William Dolton on 19 June 1860 in Hopewell Twp.

The following obituary was contributed by Carol Foss (thanks!) from the Trenton Evening Times, Trenton, NJ, 29 Oct. 1909:

DOLTON--In this city, on the 28th inst., Elizabeth W, wife of the late William Dolton. The relatives and friends are invited to attend the services at her late residence, No 27 North Clinton Avenue, on Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Interment at Riverview Cemetery at convenience of the family.
