Mrs. Susan Lowman, relict of Jacob Lowman, who died 30 years ago , passed away at her home in Young township, near Jacksonville, this morning. She was aged 90 years and had been seriously ill for a month past.
Mrs. Lowman was the oldest member of one of the pioneer families of Young township. Her parents came to that vicinity from Scotland over 90 years ago. She was born on the farm and in a house near the one she occupied at the time of her death. The deceased is survived by two children: Mrs. Samuel Nesbitt, of Conemaugh township, the wife of Ex-County Treasurer Nesbitt, and William G. Lowman, of Iowa City. Iowa. He is general foremanof the carpenter work of the Burlington & Quincy Railroad and is visiting his old home at present. Mrs. MH Henry deceased was also a daughter of Mrs. Lowman. The funeral services will be held on Saturday afternoon and will be conducted by Rev. Calvin, pastor of the United Presbyterian church in Jacksonville. of which Mrs. Lowman was a lifelong member. The interment will be made in the church graveyard.
